WORLD-CLASS STORY TO BE TOLD BY WORLD-CLASS STORYTELLER

All four main branches of the classic Welsh Mabinogion stories will be told in Ceredigion over the next four weeks as the focal point of the 2007 Gwyl y Cyfarwydd (the Welsh Storytellers’ Festival).

International storyteller Michael Harvey will present this ambitious series, working his way through these epic stories, full of adventure, romance and even more adventure, as he visits four iconic locations in the county of Ceredigion, one of the oldest kingdoms in the islands of Britain.

The Mabinogion Series is part of the Troed-y-Rhiw Creative Co-operative’s second birthday celebration. The company will tour the length and breadth of Welsh-speaking Wales performing three productions in the space of six weeks.

The series is presented by Gwyl y Cyfarwydd, Theatr Felinfach, Cered and the Boomerang Group.
